The homeowners knew this could be their forever home- the views of the Puget Sound and mountains beyond were breathtaking. The only problem was the house was trapped in the 1950s. A tiny kitchen and chopped up layout could never accommodate the lifestyle they envisioned.
We assisted them by orchestrating a major gut and renovation, removing the structural core of the home and replacing it with new beams, an open kitchen perfect for entertaining, and multiple skylights. What was once a gloomy dated house is now a bright and airy home. The homeowners love cooking in their chef kitchen where everything is within reach yet out of sight. We’re happy to say they now feel at ease in their forever home.
This project was shortlisted for the AIA Seattle’s Home of Distinction, where it was recognized for design excellence in the region.
