hospitality haven

The Westin in downtown Pittsburgh was in need of a serious facelift- years of wear and tear to their expansive lobby resulted in a lackluster first impression to guests. As part of Gensler’s design team, the lobby and adjoining restaurant were transformed into a sleek, welcoming oasis for guests.

Now a giant thirty foot living green wall greets guests and leads to comfortable furnishings and backlit onyx displays. Around the corner, a historical nod to New York showcases white subway tile, rich woods, and black steel windows at an upscale burger eatery. What was once a dated, dark lobby is now an inspiring venue for both visitors and locals alike.
