A fortuitous water leak in the walls prompted the renovation of this home’s primary bathroom. The home is distinctively Craftsman, and the new design had to blend seamlessly with the existing home’s character while bringing the bathroom into this decade.
Natural limestone walls and floors, quartzite countertops with subtle veining, and a custom crafted vanity bring in warmth and create a spa like environment. Polished nickel fixtures add a hint of glamour to the space. The transformation from dated bathroom to Roman Spa was complete with the addition of a large double shower.
Adjacent spaces showcase a solution for flexible living- a murphy bed/ desk combination. This quickly became a favorite feature of the home, perfect for accommodating guests when needed yet tucked out of the way for everyday use.
This design was celebrated by Rue Magazine in 2020.
